Lebensfaden

Deutsch

A life, told. A thread that stays.

Coming to the App Store

Every family has someone whose stories nobody writes down. Lebensfaden listens: one big button, telling is enough. The recordings become a thread of memories, people and places, arranged into a life.

How it works

Telling

One button, no menus. The app writes along, asks gentle questions and remembers what belongs together. No recording is ever lost, even without internet.

The thread

Memories find their place on a lifeline. People and places become anchors of their own: who appears in which stories? Where did the life happen?

The family

Children and grandchildren listen in, add photos, settle the years, and ask the questions only a person would think of.

The book

At the end there is a book: in their own words, or as a told version that keeps the sound of their voice. To share, print and keep.

A look inside

The recordings belong to the family

Everything lives on your own device and in your family's iCloud. Our server keeps no recordings, no texts, no photos.

For listening and arranging, individual pieces are briefly sent to a speech service and immediately forgotten. The family decides beforehand whether that happens at all, and can export or permanently delete everything at any time. The full privacy policy is written to be as readable at 80 as at 40.
